The Hotel Heritage Martinis-Marchi and the Le Chateau restaurant are in Maslinica, the westernmost village on the island of Solta. This small fishing village is virtually part of the decoration of the 300 years old castle with its 5000 m2 garden.

The castle, in which both the hotel and the restaurant are housed was originally built by the Martinis brothers in the early 18th century to help protect the island and the mainland from the pirate attacks as well as to develop a community to work on the land.

The castle has now been fully restored under the watchful guidance ofCroatian heritage achitects and advisors.

The hotel offers only six rooms, two of which are hotel suites, in the castle covering an area of 1500 square meters. The rooms/suites vary in size and are individually designed and furnished to be both true to the castel’s original designe and to offer the ultimate in quiet elegance and comfort.  The reception rooms are equally impressive while the courtyard offers an open-air, heated swimming pool. There is also a heliport is in the extensive grounds.

The restaurant terrace offers great views over the bay and as Maslinica is west-facing, it makes a perfect location for the sunset cocktails.

All the rooms/suites are equipped with plasma televisions, mini bars, safes, telephones, heaters and air conditioners.

The property also has a magnificent heated outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and hammam with a resting area, a restaurant and a bar, a conference room with internet and tekephone access, a living rooms with a TV corner, a music room with a piano and a breakfast terrace.
