Oyster 100 ‘Penelope’
During the winter, the yacht will be sailing in the Caribbean and for most of the summer 2016, Penelope will be in the West Mediterranean.
We can finally present long awaited Oyster 100! Lovely PENELOPE has recently joined the magnificent Oyster fleet.
This beautiful sailing yacht is powered by a sport rig, carbon spars and North Sails Spectra Carbon sails. Her sailing performance is outstanding, even in the lightest of winds.
Penelope offers a fantastic space on board. There are three staterooms located aft of the saloon – the master cabin has a king sized bed and a private en-suite bathroom. The two family/guest staterooms have two large single beds, which are fitted on slide rails that can be pushed together to form a large double bed. A third fold down bed is also available. Each cabin has a private bathroom.
A raised saloon offers a panoramic view and leads forward and down to a more intimate lounge and separate dining area. Forward of the main living area is the crew galley and two crew cabins.There are four crew members on board of Penelope:
CAPTAIN: Mark Durham is from England and has been sailing since he was 8 years old.In 2002 he sailed across the Atlantic to Antigua
and it was there that he began his professional career as a yacht captain aboard an Oyster 66.
Since then, he has sailed over 90,000 miles, in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and other exotic destinations such as French Polynesia,
Chilean Patagonia, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.
CHEF: Alexa Strawn was born in Florida, lived in Germany and grew up in beautiful Swedish countryside.
DECKHAND/STEWARD: Andres Blanco Williams grew up in Mexico and spent time working in Australia as a professional sail maker, before
joining the yachting industry as crew.
ENGINEER: Steven Samuel is from South Africa.

All charter fees are per week, per yacht only. Rates for special events may differ, please consult us for the most up to date information. Some of the rates shown are preliminary estimates and are subject to change.
Crew Gratuity – Although discretionary, a crew gratuity of 10-15% of the charter fee is customary.
Taxes – Charter rates will be subject to varying rates of tax within the EC waters and tax is not included in the charter rates on this price list. Local taxes may also occur in certain places outside the EC. Some yachts under commercial Registry may be zero rated for tax. Please ask us for the most up to date information for the yacht you are interested in and the cruising area.
Extras / Terms
Terms Inclusive of the charter fee is the yacht, and crew. Extra costs include, but are not limited to, shoreside transport; fuel for the main engines and generators; fuel for tenders and water sports equipment; food and all beverages for the Charter Party; berthing dues and other harbour charges including pilots’ fees, local taxes, divers’ fees, customs formalities and any charges for waste disposal, charges for water and electricity taken from shore; ships’ agents’ fees where applicable; personal laundry; Charter Party communications and internet use.
APA – Advance Provisioning Allowance – The extras are normally arranged as a prepayment of approximately 25% of the cost of the boat that is handed over to the captain who keeps on file all the receipts and notes on the costs. If more money is needed during the charter, it can be given directly to the captain, but if some money is left over it will be returned to the guests.
